Atto finishes work on Miguel Bonilla's film "Comando Zorras" in which a mexican girl, trained by the CIA, witnesses the murder of her brother at the hands of "El Abulon", a dangerous Narc-Satanic criminal. She moves back to Mexico and leads a quiet life as a school teacher, until her best student gets kidnaped. Out looking for her, she arives at Casa Rosedal, a clasy strip joint in which she forms, along with other stripers, the "Comando Zorras" team, and trains them in kung-fu. With their combined forces, out they go in search of El Abulon, and all hell breaks loose!!!... the sountrack is extremley cool, combining retro funk with some heavier riffs; Atto does a great job with humour and talent paying homage to the 70's martial arts movies.

Last Thursday Oct 7th 2004, Atto played live at the anual Sony Entertainment Television bash: and boy, was it a huge audience!. With a short but powerful set, Atto got an amazing response from the crowd, who got a chance to enjoy  Trampolines- -Munieca de Rosa- -A tus Pies- -The Biggest Show on Earth-  and -The Limit of my Own-  in which Yannina took over the lead vocals in a splendid way!!!

On Saturday Octuber 9th 2004, Atto went on the Maxine Woodside's radio and TV show "Todo Para la Mujer",  where they talked about the"Psychoflor" video, as well as past and future Atto history, in what turned out to be an interesting and extensive interview. The show aired that same day on "Teleformula".

Another October "Malaparte" Wedenesday, where Atto played an extensive show of original material with Yannina, Julio and Leon... an improvised jam session took place after the show with many musicians who were cheking out the show... too much fun!...

"Psychoflor" premieres on VH1  September 10th 2004 and nine days later reaches the 10th spot on the Top Ten list!!!!. Go to the Images gallery to see video pictures and samples!!!

Atto plays the Bull Dog for a full house on September 28th 2004, sharing the stage for the 101.7 Vox fm "40 Principales" bash with -La Tremenda Corte-, -Salon Victoria- and -La Lupita-. Although the crowd was composed mainly of SKA crazed, craving fans, not only Atto wasn't booed off stage, but actually enjoyed a great reception from the audience who cheered for more. Talk about a trial by fire!!!

An interesting interview took place on Sep. 25th for the virtual radio station "Radio Clic", in which Atto talked about the recent music scene in Mexico City and discussed many of his early influences . Click on the address below to enter "Radio Clic", where you'll find a link to the Atto interview. Listen and enjoy!!!

-7- Another virtual radio interview; this time for "Bang Bang Radio", in which Atto talked about the "Psychoflor" video: the interview was filmed and YOU can check it out on the address below!!

Atto scores a double with MVS, first on the radio show "El Sotano" with Susana Moscatel, and then on the Exa Top Ten Chart TV show, in which an interview that talks about Atto's musical history is mixed with the Top Ten videos (Psychoflor included). The show was broadcasted on Sunday Oct 3rd on Exa TV. On the other side of the fence, altough the 102.5 fm interview with Susana was cut short, she appeared on the  Horacio Villalobos show "Valvula de Escape" on Tele Hit, and talked some more about "Mondo Trampolin" while showing clips of "The Biggest Show on Earth" video.

Atto sets "Malaparte" on fire...literaly. The third Wedenesday of August semed to be another splendid evening at bar "Malaparte" when Atto, just moments about to start the show, began to notice an ever increasing smokey odor. And lo'n'behold!!! what comes next is flames, fire trucks, sirens, and lots and lots of smoke. Atto's gear, along with his beloved Kurtzweil 2500XS was covered in dust. A few blocks away, a couple of guys on their way to see the show, noticing the patrol cars and the caos, thought it had been a kick ass sold out show gone crazy..... of course no one was hurt and the instruments are clean and working better than ever!!!!!

"The Biggest Show on Earth" starts spining on VH1 in May. Directed by Miguel Bonilla, the melancholic video debuts on the small screen, just at the music chanel appears for the first time in Mexico and Latino America..... Go to the Images gallery to download a sample from the video!!!.

Atto signs deal with EMI music publishing on April 2004. Inside scoop tells us that the Mexican EMI branch loved the material, but wasn't sure what to do; so they send it to the L.A. offices and !BAWAM!, they dig it hard and Atto gets signed right away. Congrats!!!.

Atto plays at the opening night of Cascabel bar on December 12th 2003. Given the intimate nature of the event, Atto went solo playing keyboards. He performed some of the most cabaret-like numbers on Mondo Trampolin as well as a couple of tracks from his previous album -Fourteen Rounds with the Killer Blondes- The show ended on a soon-to-be-classic-note, when a member of the audience went up the stage and asked Atto to perform Billy Joel´s "Piano Man"...

Last Wenesday the 13th Atto did an interview at 98.5 fm Radioactive, on the Ilana show. "The Biggest Show on Earth" and "The Limit of my Own" were played on the air. The interview was fun and the first 10 callers got to take home a copy of Mondo Trampolin.

Trotsky Usó mi Baño y lo Tapó¨, a Mondo Trampolín out take, made its way to the new compilation album ¨Mexico Sessions 01¨. The Pro Disc / Bonn Records proyect features 14 mexican artists (Wakal, Sr. Mandril and Atto, among them) all exposing contemporary musical ideas from the world´s biggest city. Trotsky... is no doubt the one track in the collection that stands the farthest away, stylewise, from the mostly electronic sounding proyect, and yet, somehow, it seems to blend with the album as a whole, giving it a twist on it´s organic feel. Rolling Stone magazine gave Mexico Sessions 01 a good review and a rating of three stars ***    CLICK HERE to buy Mexico Sessions 01

Atto showed up at 90.9fm Radio Ibero to record an acoustic show for the Uriel Waizel program "Click-a-Port-E". The set icluded many striped down versions of Mondo Trampolin songs as well as a couple of tracks from the previous album, 14 Rounds with the Killer Blondes. The show was aired Thursday 5th. Besides the great music, we were able to enjoy a most entertaining interview in which DJ and artist discused at great lenght topics such as martinis and tamales, silicon boobs and California swiming pools. The show lasted a bit over an hour and a half, and the radio promo playing all  week sounded amazing.

Atto is taking the stage at Malaparte every wenesday night in February. The first one actally took place on January 28th 2003; the house was packed and the show turned out to be a mix between Burlesque and alternative pop, in which Atto even performed a couple of card tricks: Mayumi joined Atto on stage to perform "The Limit of my Own".. The second show happened wenesday February 11th; the show was a tad slower, but still intense. Full house again on the 18th; Atto performed a couple of new numbers and the band sounded amazing, Leo joined the band for "Sobre el Sol" and The Beatles "Don't Let me Down". The March 3rd evening began with Julio sporting a brand new mowhack, and Atto, already 6 tequilas in, made the band sound better than ever, (except for Gnossienne #1, which became a complete train wreck). Mayumi again sang "The Limit of My own", and inspite of a severe sore thoat, she sounded as good as ussual. Another wenesday, another show, this one took place the 24th of March and Pepe Soho did the drum honours for Psychoflor, as usual, it was another fun nigh t.

The week of the 29th March to the 4th of April, Imagen 90.5 fm featured -MONDO TRAMPOLIN- as RECORD OF THE WEEK, playing songs and promos every day, till' the night of the 4th, when the album was played in its entirety, featuring a spoken intro by Atto to every song, explaining the why's and how's to every track.... a true pleasure!!!

The show at Hard Rock Live on November 18th 2003 was a true success. The band´s performance was confident and energetic, and achieved a real fat and tight sound. With fresh arrangements and a smooth energy, Leon, Julio, Yannina and Atto played most of the tracks from Mondo Trampolin to a packed house. The video proyections, courtesy of artists Miguel Cordera, Castor and Meir Lobaton, added a great touch to the already polished show. Atto himself contributed  an interesting  visual collage for the song ¨Stick ´em Up¨. Leo, from the band Fobia, and Mayumi from The Jaggerettes took the mic to perform ¨Sobre el Sol¨ and ¨The Limit of my Own¨, which added a nice touch to the show. But it was the single ¨The Biggest Show on Earth¨ that hit the audience the hardest. The post-show party became a true Roman Bachanal which made, along with the great musical performance and the public´s enthusiasm, a great party and evening to remember.
